Lead offer

The 20-Minute AR Health Check.

A short, structured review of how your receivables process runs today — what’s working, where it breaks down, and whether managed support would genuinely be worth it.

What we review

Five areas, twenty minutes.

Enough structure to be genuinely useful, short enough to fit in an operating week.

01

Invoice & ageing visibility

How clearly you can see what is current, due and overdue — and how often anyone actually looks.

02

Follow-up discipline

Whether follow-up runs to a rhythm or happens when cash gets tight.

03

Disputes & payment commitments

How promises to pay and invoice queries are captured, tracked and closed out.

04

Ownership & escalation

Who owns the next action, and what triggers management involvement.

05

Reporting & process efficiency

Whether management gets a usable weekly picture, and how much manual effort it costs.

Honest outcomes

Three possible conclusions. Only one of them is a sale.

A

Your process is already controlled.

Some businesses run receivables well. If yours does, we’ll tell you and there is nothing further to discuss.

B

You need an internal fix, not an external service.

Often the answer is a clearer cadence, a defined owner or better use of the system you already have. We’ll set out what we’d change.

C

Managed Receivables makes commercial sense.

If the volume, the overdue balance and the time cost justify it, we’ll show you the scope and the fixed fee, and you can decide.

Before the call

What to have ready.

Nothing formal is required, but the conversation is far more useful with a couple of things to hand.

  • A current aged receivables summary from your accounting system.
  • A rough sense of how many invoices you issue each month.
  • Your standard payment terms.
  • Who currently follows up overdue invoices, and roughly how often.

We do not need access to your systems for the Health Check, and we don’t ask for customer details.

Questions

Straight answers before you hand over any finance work.

Does the Health Check cost anything?
No. It is free and carries no obligation. If we conclude you don’t need us, that is a perfectly normal outcome.
Are you a debt collection agency?
No. Averlane runs routine, first-party receivables follow-up in your business’s name and within authority you agree in advance. We do not undertake legal recovery, issue letters of demand as legal instruments, or act on Security of Payment adjudication. Where a matter passes your agreed escalation threshold, we hand it back to you.
Why can’t our bookkeeper or admin person do this?
They can, and if they already do it consistently every week you should keep it internal. Bookkeeping and active credit control are different operating rhythms — producing an ageing report is not the same as owning what happens next. Averlane fits where receivables falls between the bookkeeper, the office team and the owner, and nobody consistently owns it.
We already use automated reminders in our accounting software.
Keep them — they’re useful. What they don’t handle is “we’ll pay Friday”, a missing purchase order, an unapproved invoice or a customer asking to be billed through a different entity. Averlane manages the exceptions automation creates.
Where is your delivery team based?
Averlane serves Australian businesses, with delivery support provided from Mauritius where appropriate. We’re transparent about that rather than presenting ourselves as an all-Australian delivery team. If your business requires entirely Australian-based handling, we’re not the right fit and we’ll say so early.
What access would you need to our systems?
The minimum required, on your systems, under user permissions you control, with multi-factor authentication. We do not receive customer funds. Customer communication templates, authority limits and escalation thresholds are agreed in writing before any work begins.
What does it cost?
Managed Receivables is a fixed monthly fee agreed before we start, plus a one-off setup. We don’t take a percentage of what we collect and there is no commission on recovery. Scope and price are confirmed after the Health Check, once we understand your ledger and volume.
You’re new — why should we trust you?
Averlane is an early-stage business and we don’t have published Australian case studies yet. We’d rather say that than invent them. Assess the process, the scope boundaries and whether the economics make sense for your ledger. Start with the Health Check — if there isn’t a real enough problem, we’ll tell you.

Twenty minutes. No obligation.
